About Dance Classes
Dance classes focus on fundamental techniques such as balance, strength, and flexibility as well as precision, poise and style.
Our Dance Classes:
Toddler Time Dance & Tumbling(Walking to age 3) This is a parent/child class where toddlers can boogie with their mommies (or daddies). This class is intended to be a workout for both Parent and Child. We will use a variety of movements to introduce children to the world of Dance, including tumbling! The main goal is to cultivate a love for music, movement and dance!
Basic Dance Exploration(Ages 3-6) This beginning dance class teaches young students the fundamentals of dance, grace and poise, with interactive and playful dance skills. Students will get a taste of jazz, modern dance, ballet, tap, cheer, creative movement, yoga & Tumbling.
Students need leotard and tights (girls) or fitted shirt and pants (boys) and ballet/tap shoes or bare feet (all). Dance & Tumbling Combo Learn the basics of dance while developing self-confidence, posture, poise, grace, balance, self-discipline, fitness, and individual expression. This class is for students who want to dance and develop important techniques including tumbling that will aid to their success in any style of future dance they chose to explore.
Ballet 2(Age: 6-12 or by coach invitation) Discipline, form and technique is the key to success in Dance. Ballet 2 will continue to develop this self control as our young ballerinas learn to express themselves through dance. Our skilled, experienced instructors will guide evolving dancers.
*Quality Ballet Shoes are required in this class. Students should have previous dance experience (basic ballet recommended) prior to enrolling in this class. Combo Dance/ Acro & Tumbling(Ages 6-12) Acrobatic dance is a style of dance that combines classical dance technique with precision acrobatic elements. It is defined by its athletic character, its unique choreography, which seamlessly blends dance and acrobatics, and its use of acrobatics in a dance context.1
This fun class lets students artistically combine skills learned during Gymnastics training in a lyrical fashion to music. It is also a good course to highlight students strengths and self expression. All dance is an exploration of personal dance style and presentation. This class will incorporate basic dance technique including kicks, leaps, & turns with jazz and other styles of dance variations set to popular music. Students will not only discover a new adventure of dance as they explore Jazz dance and other popular styles of dance*, such as hip hop, improv, modern, comtemporary, lyrical and more. Students will also develop their own style, while learning to confidently express themselves through dance. *Other dance styles explored during course will vary depending on instructor's preference and class personality. * Students must have previous dance and tumbling or gymnastics experience as well as quality dance shoes. It is recommended to take a tumbling or gymnastics class in addition to this class. Adult/Teen Dance TechniqueDance is a great way to enjoy life no matter your age! Improve your dance technique, strength and flexibility, by joining us for our Dance Technique, designed specifically for Adults and Teens serious about dance.
This class can be taken alone or will help suppliment other classes. Either way your bound to enjoy yourself in our Dance Technique class! Remember to always Dance like no one is watching! Class duration: 1 hour Movie Stunting Fight ChoreographyJoin us for our fun Movie Stunting and Acrobatics Fight Choreography to learn cool moves to show off and be the star of your own show!
Class will include some tumbling/fitness training, learning to look like your fighting without contact, and filming fight choreography for playback. |
Breakdance/Hip-Hop MixupThis introduction Breakdancing/Hip Hop class offers a structured method of learning various Hip Hop and breakdancing movements in an exciting and energetic class setting.
Breakdancing is a style of street dance that originated primarily among African American andPuerto Rican youth in the 1970s. Hip hop dance refers to street style dance primarily performed to hip hop music or dances that have evolved as part of hip hop culture. It includes a wide range of styles including breaking, locking and popping. This Hip Hop/Breakdancing class utilizes upbeat music from various genres, including the latest Hip Hop hits. The result is a vibrant rhythmic environment where you’ll learn to perform Hip Hop movements and technique while exploring and developing your own personal style. Dance Plus(Ages 12 and up) This is a great class to take for those who are interested in trying out for High School Dance Teams! Our students who took this class last year made the drill team at tryouts!
Dance technique will be perfected, and style developed. Jazz plus additional styles of dance will be explored and introduced in this dance class, including Modern and some Hip Hop. Ages 12+ are welcome. Class requires strength and flexibility, while introducing and developing more advanced dance movements. Students will need black dance clothes or black Leo and black tights and black ballet shoes, Jazz shoes or a lyrical half sole shoe should be worn. Mini Cheer Dance TumbleThis is an introduction course for younger students (ages 3-5), and a great option for students who are just beginning to explore cheer, dance & tumbling. During this class students will be introduced to everything we offer at Kardio Kidz USA. They will learn the fundamentals of cheerleading while also exploring dance technique, and learn the basics of tumbling.
Basic Cheer, Dance & TumblingThis is an introduction course, and a great option for students who are just beginning to explore cheer, dance & tumbling. During this class students will be introduced to everything we offer at Kardio Kidz USA. They will learn the fundamentals of cheerleading while also exploring dance technique, and learn the basics of tumbling.
Multilevel Cheer, Dance & TumblingThis is an intermediate course, and a great option for students who are advancing in the cheer world. During this class students will be increase skills with all three areas of focus: Cheer technique, Dance ability, and Tumbling skills. They will learn the fundamentals of cheerleading while also exploring dance technique, and learn the basics of tumbling.
Students should be able to do back bend, headstand and/or handstand, hurtle, dive forward roll, cartwheel & roundoff by themselves before entering this leveled class. Cheer Dance & Tumble PlusThis is an advanced course, and a great option for students who want to continue to Cheer Dance and Tumble! Prior class experience is required. During this class students will be develop all areas we offer at Kardio Kidz USA. They will improve on the fundamentals of cheerleading while also perfecting their dance technique, and advance their tumbling skills.
Students should be able to do back bend from standing or kickover, headstand and/or handstand, dive cartwheel, roundoff by themselves before entering this leveled class. Private LessonsDo you have a dancer needing a littler help with technique or tumbling skills for competition? Do you have a cheerleader that just needs a little extra help to get her back handspring? Does your tumbler have aching wrists because of poor form? Or does your gymnasts just need a little individual time with coaches? We also offer Private Lessons by appointment. Kardio Kidz Classes Include
- Focus on strength and flexibility to obtain technical precision of Gymnastics, Dance or Cheer.
- Multi-Class discounts are available for families with more than one child enrolled in classes during a session. Or children who enroll in more than one class per session.
- Passionate, dedicated coaches that will offer consistency and there expertise to your child to help them develop to their full potential.
- Children will be asked to practice the skills they are learning in class at home to help fully develop their abilities.
- Parent involvement is encouraged.
- Children will get to perform at least once each session for parents.
- Both boys and girls and Kidz of all ages are welcome in any of our classes (Gymnastic, Dance or Cheer).
